The Characteristics Of Japanese Astrology

Astrology has importance all over the world whether it is the western countries or the eastern countries. The method of calculation and prediction in astrology differs a little between the Western and Eastern culture. Japanese astrology is totally based on ancient Chinese astrology and takes into account every aspect that is included in Chinese astrology. Japanese astrology is also known as nine star ki astrology.

This system of Japanese astrology has been developed from the Chinese Lo-shu which is that part of Chinese astrology which refers to the astrology that takes into account the purple and white star. This astrological system calculates everything about a person's personality, outward behavior and emotional character on the basis of the person's birth date. Nine star ki astrology does not provide information about any other aspect of human life.

If a person wants to find out about the elements of his future and acquire other types of information then he has to rely on that section of astrology which is related to the study of destiny with the help of four pillars. This astrological calculation is based on the kua system which is another part that has also been taken from Chinese astrology. The nine star ki astrology is numerical calculation which has the facility to provide information to a person about the direction that will not match his principal number and if he chooses that direction he will surely fail.

Japanese astrology also takes into account the zodiac system of calculation but there is a difference between the Western zodiac system and the Japanese zodiac system. Unlike the Western zodiac system which is based on twelve months the Japanese zodiac system has a division of twelve years and each of these years are named after an animal. The system is also taken from Chinese astrology where it is believed that the shifting of time takes place in a cycle which is of twelve years.

This concept has been developed on the basis of the legend that at the time when Buddha was ready to leave his body and depart from earth only twelve animals came to pay their devotion. To honor these animals Buddha blessed them and named the years after them. The order of naming the years was decided according to the sequence in which the animals came to pay their devotion to Buddha. In Japanese astrology the character traits of a person are decided according to the zodiac sign in which they were born.

Later on in the year 1930 Japanese astrology developed another stream of study which was related to finding out the compatibility status of a person with another person. This study was based totally on a different line as here the Japanese took into account the blood group and not the date of birth or the zodiac sign. In Japan the blood group division does not take into account the Rh factor while deciding the compatibility between people while matching the personality traits.
