Panic attack can hurt you in many ways. Although it can not kill you, it can seriously erode your quality of life. Therefore, it is good to learn what the causes of it are .You can learn how to properly deal with it. This article will discuss on the causes of panic attack.

There are many factors involved when it comes to panic attack.

Here are some of the triggers and causes of panic attacks:

- Genetics: If you have family record of having panic attack, there is a chance that you might get one too. although this is not absolutely true, it indicates higher chance for you to develop panic attack than for others.

- Character of the person: The one who is overly concerned may have higher chances of developing panic attacks. The one who is more relaxed may not suffer this at all.

- Phobia: Any type of serious fear can trigger the attacks. As you may know, panic attack is a kind of fear. Therefore, phobia has big influence on whether you are going to have one.

- External stimulants: You will have to avoid things that can stimulate the attack including caffeine, nicotine or the drugs like marijuana or psilocybin. These chemicals can trigger the panic attacks.

- Some misunderstanding: Since panic attack has a lot to do with your thinking, any misunderstanding can provoke the attack. In addition, self talk, mistaken beliefs, withheld feelings and lack of assertiveness can trigger the attack.

- Lack of confidence: The people who are introvert tend to have panic attacks easier than the outgoing and extrovert people. The ones who have passive style of communication may develop the disorder more easily than the active style of communication people.

- Medications: Some of the medicines, regardless if they are prescriptive, can cause the attack for example methylphenidate or antibiotics like fluoro-quinolone.

- Alcohol or drug withdrawal: Withdrawal of the alcohol or some medicine may cause the attack. This can be called withdrawal syndrome or rebound effect. So you will need to be careful if you are on these things.

There are still a few other causes that may not be mentioned here in this article. However, the ones which are laid out here are the major causes. You can check out and try to avoid them in order to not having panic attacks in the future.

The best thing to do is to study all the causes and ask yourself which category you fall into. After that, you will have to take some precaution and steps to keep you away from the panic attack.
