What is Gateway System Recovery?
Gateway System Recovery (GSR) is a backup solution for Gateway computers. At the heart of this solution is a 2nd partition on the hard drive where files necessary to reinstall the software that came with the computer are saved.
In addition to this recovery partition, users can create a set of discs that act as a secondary backup in case the recovery partition becomes damaged or corrupt. There have been several revisions of the solution and each revision has slightly different implementations.
You must go for drivers and software documentation for specific information on the solution that shipped with your computer. To access this documentation, select your computer type below then select your model.
