Panic Heart Attack Symptoms - Have you Had This Happen to You?

It is not uncommon for panic attacks and heart attacks to be confused with each other. While one has far more serious long term effects than the other, they share a lot of the same warning signs and symptoms. In actuality, you will find those that are having heart attacks are also having panic attacks. Luckily, while the opposite could happen, it is far less likely to occur.

Panic attacks have many symptoms, most notably an increased heart rate, feeling faint, nausea, chills or sweats and a feeling of losing control of your body functions. You can also become very tense and breathing can become very difficult. Does all of this sound familiar? If you can objectively determine if it is a heart attack or a panic attack, you are far ahead of the curve. People experiencing them or witnessing it happening will think heart attack because the severity of the symptoms in a panic attack victim is so pronounced.

Anyone who ever experiences these symptoms should immediately seek medical attention. First and foremost, you may actually be having a heart attack and getting to the hospital could save your life. Second, if you are just having panic attacks, you need to begin to treat them or learn how to recover from them so you don't scare yourself into believing you are having a heart attack in the future.

There are several ways to deal with panic attacks once they begin, but it all starts with being able to recognize it for what it is and calming yourself down. Once you can do that and get control of your breathing, you can realize that you are in fact not having a hear attack and deal with your issue at hand.

You can probably now see how easy it is to confuse a heart attack with a panic attack. Taking people with panic attacks lightly is insensitive to the real fear and pain they suffer; while it may not be a real condition to you, you can be assured that at the moment they are going through it, there is nothing more serious. They can literally fear for their life when it occurs.

Thankfully there are many things that can be done to address panic attacks so that they are reduced, controlled and eventually eliminated. Drugs are a possible option and while they may help quickly, they do present serious concerns due to side effects and the fact that they can create addiction.
