These Creams Help Fight Signs Of Aging

By Jen Hopkins
Feb 9, 2009
It has been said that nothing can stop the natural process of aging. Some of the customers who reviews the markets top wrinkle and aging solutions agree; others don't. This article will show you the best anti aging and anti wrinkle creams out there and the worst so you know what to buy and what not to.

Two of the worst are Fusion Beauty Lift/Fusion Eye Lift and Dermitage. The Fusion product received two stars or less from several different reviewers, and, according to 75% of consumers, does nothing to mask or reduce wrinkles. Its main problem is that it does nothing except separate you from your hard earned cash. Dermitage claims that its product reduces signs of aging in as little as 60 minutes, and, if you believe their ad, can have grandma looking like a supermodel by the time it works its magic. Ultimately, it does not live up to the promise and received an average rating of one star.

On the flipside are two products that we deemed the best of the best. Fake Bake Self-Tanning Lotion provides a natural looking tan and reduces toxins in the skin. A youthful glow always makes one look (and feel) younger. Another winner is Juliet's Anti-Aging Cream. Give it 24 hours and soon you'll feel how soft and luxurious your skin can feel.

There are also home remedies you can use in your fight against aging. Apply egg whites to the skin under your eyes, or odor-free castor oil, which can also be used on the throat. Or, you can combine the contents of three vitamin E capsules with two teaspoons plain yogurt, and a half-teaspoon each of honey and lemon juice to make a mixture that can be applied to your face with a cotton ball. Leave it for ten minutes, and rinse it off for softer, smoother skin.

One method we found ineffective was mixing a quarter cup each of comfrey infusion and witch hazel, and adding 10 drops of patchouli essential oil. It is then supposed to be stored in a clean bottle until used, and applied to affected areas with a cotton ball. Don't expect much more than a wet face, though.

While your best choices for commercially available products are the Fake Bake Self-Tanning Lotion and Juliet's Anti-Aging Cream, there are other methods that work. The egg whites and castor oil help your eyes look less tired, and the vitamin E mixture softens and smoothes the face.

Of all the products reviewed and tested, the worst were the witch hazel, Fusion Beauty Lift/Fusion Eye Lift and Dermitage. Review after review confirmed their ineffectiveness, so it is best to avoid them. In particular, the Dermatage failed to meet its promise.

Now you have heard about the best and worst ways to fight against wrinkles and other visible signs of aging. No doubt, though, you will encounter many other products promising to make you look younger, and as a result of their product, more attractive. To avoid wasting money on products that don't fulfill their promises, remember this little bit of common sense: if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is.
