If you are planning on spending only a few days in Buenos Aires, you'll want to make sure you see the best things available. Read on to find out the no miss attractions of this top South American destination.

One of most unique things you can see in Buenos Aires is some proper tango, and you can see a lot in just a few days. Tango is 100% Argentine, and it is very difficult to see a decent show anywhere else in the world. Buenos Aires is full of the world's best tango dancers, and you can see them at one of the big shows.

There are three main spots to see the best Tango shows. Tango Piazzola, Tango Madero, and Esquina Gardel, with the later being the most expensive, and also the best. The other two are close behind in both quality and price. All three have a dinner option, which involves a very high quality meal before the show. Prices range from about US$60 - US$130, depending on which place you go to, what your seats are, and if you have dinner or not.

The next thing on your list should be a trip to watch a high energy soccer game, where you can see why the Argentine fans are some of the craziest in the world. Once you're in the stadium, it will quickly become evident that you are in the middle of some serious rivalries. Fans of each team are completely separated and have to enter from separate entrances. Watching the fans cheer is a true delight, and if you have a chance, look for the translation of all the soccer songs online. The fans chant back and forth at one another, creating an atmosphere that can't beat in any sporting event across the world. Ask your hotel's reception how you can get tickets and be escorted to the game.

A trip to Buenos Aires is not complete without eating a true barbeque meal. You'll quickly find out why the Argentine's are known for having the best beef in the world.

In Argentina, they don't just eat a steak for dinner. A true 'parillla' includes various cuts of meat along with 'achuras' such as sausages, kidneys and blood sausage. If you are not into achuras, you can still order a parilla meal which will include various cuts of meat and sausages. Look for 'parilla mixta' on the menu to try this. You can also try to find a 'parilla libre' which is an all you can eat BBQ. There you will be able to try all the different cuts of meat available in Argentina.

Drinking mate will give you a true taste of Argentine culture, and this can be found in a few select cafes and mate bars throughout the city. Mate is a special tea that the Argentines drink everywhere they go; at work, at the park, at a party, everywhere! It is very bitter, and most people do not like it at first. The tradition of mate is to drink and enjoy it with friends and once you see how popular it is here, you will realize that it is a can't miss experience.

These four things can easily be done in a couple of days, and they will ensure you get a true feel for Argentina and what the country is all about. Although there are many other great things to see in Buenos Aires, these are the must-do options for travelers of any age.
