Hollywoods horror movies, wrestlings props and weapons, and ultimate fighting on television are all venues that promote violence. They understand violence sells just like sex sells. Creating violent video games is already proven to be a hit. So, the question of violent video games are good or bad is easy to answer. Its easy money for video game producers and bad for the gamers. Here are 3 reasons why violent video games are bad:
Most violent video games and some not so violent video games reinforce bad habits like profanity. The average violent game is laced with profanity. Parents should be on the watch for your kids slip of the tongue. If your kids are letting curse words go in your presence or if you hear reports that your kids are using profanity it is an obvious sign that they are probably getting an overdose of profanity from those video games. To determine if violent video games are good or bad check to see if the games your kids are playing have profanity. There is nothing more distasteful than a foul mouthed kid.
The second reason to answer the question if violent video games are good or bad is rather obvious as well, where there is violence most of the time sex is lurking nearby. They sell real well as a combination package. Many violent video games now days are allowing more sexually explicit material to appear. Adult material is purposely injected inside these video games for gamers to discover. The real shame of this is violent video games are played by kids as young as 4 years old. Can you imagine how adult images can negatively shape a kids life?
The third reason why violent video games are bad is provocative music. Sex sells, violence sells, and provocative music really sells. When you put all three together you have got a money maker. The music of today is uncensored and shocking when you listen to some of the lyrics. As kids play these games they are exposing themselves to this type of negativity that has no value to them. Most music artists dont care anything about their influence on kids. All they see is becoming name recognized around the world for something anything. It is not fair to the kids.
Violent video games are good or bad? There is no good to be found and its senseless.
