Anyone can Homeschool using an Accredit Home School Program

Do you want to home school your children, but have staunch feelings that you are not qualified to be a teacher? Maybe your son or daughter is floundering in a large public school and, after investigating the subject, you feel strongly that a home school program would benefit them. The alternative might be an accredited home school program.

Through a course of studies downloaded on the computer or received in the mail, your child would be studying similar subjects he or she would have been assigned in a public school. An accredited homeschool program is generally a series of self study lessons with parental supervision and involvement.

One of my daughter's best friends suffered a long illness last year. She had to stay at home and in bed for over 5 months. During this time she was in a home study program. But her studies were assigned by the school and supervised by her teachers. My daughter's accredited home school program is different because even though she has interaction with some teachers, I have the supervision, not a school.

Any student can be educated through an accredited homeschool program no matter how old they are or their economic circumstances. Programs are available for all ages from little children in preschool up to older children in high school. Children can be instructed by their own mother or father in familiar and comfortable surroundings.

You might decide to use an accredited home school program for your children instead of sending them to public schools for a variety of reasons. Home schooling will help you and your children form strong bonds. In addition, you will have direct control over your children's learning because you don't have to follow the traditional school curriculum.

One of the things I have come to really love is the flexibility of scheduling. My daughter normally studies four to five hours a day. I try to keep that between 10 am and 3 pm, and by far most days that's just what we do. But when something comes up, we adjust! That four or five hours can be done anytime day or night, and not just Monday to Friday. Another thing: Using an accredited homeschool program can also provides you the benefit of saving a significant amount of money by removing transportation costs from your list of expenses.

My daughter has come out of her shell and has flourished since we enrolled her in an accredited home school program. She no longer is nervous and upset over the idea of going to school. Even in our rural community we are concerned about gang violence and drugs in the school. When I hear some of the things her girl friends have to contend with, well, it makes me shiver. I don't want to turn my back on our public school system, but I care first about my own child's well being. It is no wonder more and more parents in this country are making the same decision we did
