Email Protection in 2008
In a day and age when identity theft and anonymous spam are increasingly prevalent additional measures are required in order to safeguard and monitor information transmitted electronically.
As businesses and private users convert paperwork from physical to digital archives and databases they must take the utmost precautions to assure that their information is not compromised.
Email archiving is a process that can be catered to the needs of any organization. Essentially, it preserves email data as mandated by record retention laws and empowers organizations to defend themselves during litigation, while driving down the cost of e-discovery. Beside these obvious practical uses the peace of mind and added efficiency that accompany email archiving solutions are particularly desirable.
Many businessmen have become frustrated by the ever-changing landscape of digital theft. They are faced with the paradox of working with efficiency and productivity while accounting for and protecting their information. One such businessman, Nelson Johnson, described his experience as follows:
"We were experiencing a bit of concern a little while back," Johnson said, "We had to spend hours a day filtering our mail, and manually saving our records." Johnson went on to explain that he had personnel who could have been used for much more useful and creative tasks tied up in mundane and arduous spam filtering. "To be honest," Johnson said, "We lost some good people just because they hated having to do a lot of the archiving and email filtering every day."
The first half of Johnson's story is regrettably all too common. It serves as evidence that, beyond archiving, but in the same arena of protecting digital information, are email security solutions.
These solutions protect organizations by automating and intelligently enforcing company email regulations. Solutions work to combat waves of spam through the integration of multi-level protection. The same solutions also address the pervasive onslaught of illusive viruses.
"Once we implemented what they had to offer over at Messaging Architects we were able to concentrate our efforts elsewhere, on projects that were generating revenue," Johnson said, "The whole process has been a real win-win for us. We have seen marked improvements in multiple areas of our operations."
The second half of Johnson's story should become the standard. Too many otherwise productive businesses currently grapple with the proverbial monkey of online security that sits heavy on their backs.
Incredulous hackers have tried without success to break down the barriers such email security solutions provide. Our company, Messaging Architects (MA), has persisted in adapting our products to meet the protection needs of our clients. We are proud to say that our persistence has paid off.
Furthermore we recognized that there is a great need for continually better and better security, this being the case we have partnered with Microsoft Exchange, Novell GroupWise and others to assure that a premier level of email security will always be found in our solutions.
Any business in any industry comes with some uncertainties; however, we at MA believe that email integrity does not have to be one of them.
