There are numerous opportunities for sightseeing in the Costa Blanca and to party in the city of Benidorm. The city of Benidorm is located about 45 km northeast of the Alicante airport. It's the summertime party center with a very busy nightlife. There are about 30 discos and over 1000 restaurants in the center. With ample to do, most holidaymakers arrive in the Costa Blanca from the UK and Ireland.

The Playa de Poniente is a very active and busy seaside. The velvety white beach is located on the main road that gets a lot of traffic. You can avoid this by going to the tranquil nearby Playa de Levante.

Theme Parks in Benidorm and Alicante the Costa Blanca Aqualandia Park is a popular theme waterpark in Benidorm. The park has waterslides and swimming pools. For the faint of heart, there is a river ride - much slower than others in the park. There is another theme park in Benidorm called Adventure land with slides, fountains, pools, and a labyrinth that is ideal for the tiny tots.

Then there is the well-known Terra Mitica in the area. This theme park exhibits Ancient History and highlights five Mediterranean civilizations including its legends and myths, which are celebrated within all civilizations. Within the park there are restaurants. The food served depends upon the civilization that you're visiting. Within the theme park there are shops where you'll discover souvenirs to remind your visit of a lifetime. Some of these keepsakes include items made form Egyptian papyrus, Greek statues and Iberian perfumed candles.

On another say you may want to make a day trip and explore the Mundomar Aquatic Park. Families learn together about marine mammals and their adaptation to the fresh water environment. Seals and Sea Lions will perform for the visitors'. Mundomar Aquatic Park is home to many native penguins, and dolphins. They were born in the park. Child friendly centers offer slides, swings, bridges, climbing nets and scaling walls. This area is ideal for your family and your kids will love exploring inside of a real Spanish galleon, which has an underwater viewing room from where you can observe ease life such as the dolphins. If your timetable allows it, you can even see both.
