Law of Recieving One of the 11 Forgotten Laws of Attraction
According to Bob Proctor, one of the stars of the hit movie "The Secret", the Law of Receiving is not about "getting, receiving is graciously allowing something to come to you. Its like a swing. When you push a swing away, it will come back to you at around the same degree as you pushed. The Law of Receiving is about giving to the fullest extent so you can receive to the fullest extent." This is one of what Proctor calls the 11 Forgotten Laws and supplements and completes the Law of Attraction that the movie touted.
The Law of Receiving must be harmoniously lived with, or else the Law of Attraction and the other laws won't work right for you, and you'll become frustrated in your failure. You will wonder if it's all a lie, these Cosmic Laws.
The Law of Receiving means that when working with the Laws to Attract the things, the materials, the events, the people into your life that you need and desire, your true power lies in what you allow to come to you. You have to be like an electrically charged conducting circuit that allows energies of attraction to flow through you, and like a magnetic field that draws the right things to yourself. And, you see, when you are attracting your needs and desires to you, you have to be ready for some surprises. Sometimes, a lot of surprises.
What are these surprises? Well, let's say that one way you might be surprised is by receiving some "extra goodies" along with what you are consciously trying to attract. For instance, maybe you are a man who's trying to attract money and get a entrepreneurial business running, and you feel guided to get involved with an angel investor network to this end. Through your involvement, you discover an angel investor who is interested in investing in your business. You agree to meet with her. And when you meet with her, she turns out to be stunning, intelligent, and funny. You start dating her and eventually make her your wife.
So...you were consciously just trying to attract the money for your business. You got that money--but you also got a whole lot more. By accepting that you attracted this beautiful woman, now your wife, into your life, you acted in harmony with the Law of Receiving. Notice, too, that the giving-part of that Law you also acted in harmony with. Your business now helps many people through the goods and services you provide. Maybe you've been able to give jobs to a few people, too. You were giving a lot, so you got a lot in return.
But, what if you had been closed to the Law of Receiving? What if you told yourself, "I'm just here for the money" when you saw the stunning woman? Or, what if you didn't even join that network because you imagined, instead, the money coming to you in some other way. Let the Universe get your needs and desires to you in its own way and in its own good time. Don't expect your desires to be met in such-and-such an exact way. Open yourself to the results of your attraction efforts.
