Flocks of camels and donkey walking through a desert tribal land- this might be the image that comes first to the mind when the word "Caravan" is mentioned. Well, actually Caravans did make their first appearance in the Middle East. These homes are becoming increasingly common now, especially in the southern United States.
There has been an alarming rise in number of hurricanes and tornadoes and this has only contributed to the rising number of caravans. The course of destruction and devastation caused by the hurricanes left a lot of families homeless. FEMA- the organization dealing with emergency management- thus had to think of shelter for these families. In came caravans and became the temporary shelters to thousands who were left stranded.
Caravans are ideal for road trips. The facilities in a caravan are very much like normal house making caravans extremely comfortable. They come equipped with living rooms that are well-provided with furniture and entertainment units. There are sleeping quarters, bathrooms, storerooms and well-equipped kitchens. Air conditioning and heating could be opted for. Thus on the whole it makes any trip a pleasure.
It goes without saying that the caravans would require accessories. There are two varieties of accessories one should focus on- accessories for the caravan, when you are on the move and accessories for the "home" you want your caravan to become. The best place to get accessories for the caravan home would be the place from where you bought the caravans. You could also dig through the yellow pages to find the names of the engineers who could help you out with the caravan home.
Then there are other accessories such as gloves, boots, tents, flash lights, water resistant clothing and the rest. These are mostly items that can come handy at a road trip. The best place to purchase caravan accessories is at the outdoor spots store. These are also the same stores that sell outdoors equipment.
