The Ab Rocket Exercise System Works!

By Carol J Bartram

New on the market the Ab Rocket is a perfect piece of equipment for the home user as it means you can tone and shape your abs and waistline without spending a fortune on expensive health club membership or large pieces of home equipment that cannot be easily stored.

Why spend your hard-earned dollars on expensive gym memberships when you can exercise just as well at home? Most gyms are large and impersonal with complicated machines that claim to tone parts of you that you've never even heard of! Unless you pay for the services of a Personal Trainer, you may have no idea what machines to use to get the results you desire.

The Ab Rocket on the other hand will cost you less than a single months membership and comes complete with an instructional DVD with both beginner and advanced workouts on it. So even if you've never exercised your abs before, you will be able to now. The Ab Rocket gets you off the floor and into a position where it is easy to target your abdominal muscles without hurting your back, as the padded rollers on the Ab Rocket gently support your back and neck while you perform your ab crunch. This does not mean the Ab Rocket does your exercises for you! Variable levels of resistance means that whatever your fitness level you can get an excellent core workout.

Conventional ab exercises are done on the floor and very hard to do correctly unless you have been properly taught. As a Personal Trainer, I find that without one-to-one instruction, clients simply pull on their neck and shoulders and lunge upwards to try and do a crunch. Because they do not know how to engage their abdominal muscles properly, they are performing the movement using their neck and back. This is not what the neck and back muscles are designed for, so they promptly complain by very quickly beginning to hurt, in fact if the client already has a neck or back injury, ab crunches can cause a lot of problems and exacerbate any damage to the spine that is already present.

The Ab Rocket solves the traditional crunch problem, as you are not lying on the floor but sitting on the Ab Rocket with your back supported by the rollers. This means that most of the strain is removed from the back and neck muscles as the Ab Rocket provides enough support to take the strain, but also makes your abdominal muscles work as you crunch upwards, strengthening and toning your abs in exactly the right place for that perfect flat stomach we all desire so much.
