Wnter Heating Costs Affect The World
Everyone is always thinking about themselves. Everyone is so considered with what is going to happen to their bills and their oil prices, but if everyone would stop thinking about themselves and start thinking about the world, then you will be able to save a lot more on winter heat.
First, did you know that plastics use 1.5 million barrels of oil a year? If you were to get into recycling, we would use less oil a year for silly things like bottled water. Americans use things like bottled water to seem so much better then the rest, but the truth is, American water systems is the best water systems in the world.
Russian waters are not as clear as Americans and nor is it clearer in Britain. With that in mind, everyone needs to cut back on the plastics and learn to recycle.
Secondly, instead of tossing the newspapers, you may want to save them. Take them down to the basement and throw them on the fire. You will find that it will start your fires easier and you will also be able to save the paper from the garbage.
Keep in mind that not a lot of people can use the newspapers, because not everyone has a coal or wood burner. Learn to recycle again. It takes energy and a lot of natural resources to make them.
Thirdly, you may want to think about using less oil a day. This doesn't mean you shouldn't have the furnace going, but instead of heating your home to 70 all day long, you can bring it down as far as 62 degrees when you aren't home and keep the thermostat at 68 degrees when you are home. Also, it is recommended that you don't begin your furnace before it is serviced (so that the energy is not wasted) and before you absolutely need it.
Some people will turn on the space heaters during the day and cuddle up with many blankets at night. Unless you have small children in the home, you leave the furnace off right up to the first snow fall or somewhere around November. Also, you can turn your furnace off once Easter starts approaching because it can get warmer during the day, but at night you may need it. This is not only cut back on your demand, but the world a demand and the oil prices could go down a few cents.
Keep in mind that when you start doing some of these things, your friends and family will also start thinking about themselves and how to save some money. Soon everyone in your community will be saving some oil here and there. That is how you can truly help the world.
