For years women have spent hundreds of dollars at department stores looking for those magic creams to erase their crows feet and smile lines. It was not unthinkable to spend upwards of $500 for a small jar promising real anti aging results. For all of these women there is good news. No longer must one pay these exorbitant prices for a quality moisturizer. Some of the best wrinkle creams available today can be purchased at your local drug store!

Many women may feel that they cannot find quality moisturizers and anti-aging products at a drug store, but this is not true any longer. High-end and effective facial products, including moisturizers and wrinkle creams, to fight aging are available to everyone at reasonable prices. No longer are these items considered a luxury for the few.

Look in beauty and fashion magazines and see which beauty creams are being touted as the anext big thing.a Most times you will see a drug store brand as the top reviewed product. The reason for this does not lie strictly with the large advertising budget available to these manufactures. Their product IS getting better.

Drug stores have a higher market share and their products are more widely available. They therefore have more funds to expend on product research and development than department stores, and are able to keep developing new and better products than the high-end stores.

Because of their advanced research and development, drug store brands are on the cutting edge of the anti-aging technology. They can offer their products without a large marketing outlay because they are already a known brand. Department stores have to advertise their new products heavily, and their costs in development and advertising are passed on to the customer in the form of higher prices iia as much as three or four times higher than the drug stores.

As more and more money is poured into anti aging products for our aging population, the drug store skin cream market will continue to grow, forcing the department store brands to rethink their marketing approaches. This competition and advancement will serve the customer as better, and more affordable products become increasingly available.

In addition to anti-aging products, drug store cosmetic sales are also overtaking those of the department stores. Previously, women looked to the department stores to find the latest colors and applications of make-up, and it could take up to a year before the drug stores caught up to the latest trends. Now, drug stores are leading department stores in offering the latest make-up items, such as the popular mineral make-ups and rubber mascara brushes. In fact, it seems that only TV sales beat the drug stores to the mineral make-up craze.

For the time being, it seems that the market for affordable anti-aging products has nowhere to go but up! The population is aging, and money is tighter than ever, but todayas women now have a chance to fight back at both of those factors with easily affordable and effective products available at her drug store!
