Pet Photographing Tips
You have probably been wanting to photograph your pet but are not sure how to get started. You don't want ordinary photos, and that is why are you reading this article. These tips are meant to help you take awesome photos of your pet.
1. Natural lighting is best for your pet. Light through windows is good, or take your pet outside. Using flashes to photograph pets is not the best idea. Not only could the flash scare your them, but it creates red-eye in photos.
2. Get on the same level as your pet. Bend down or lie on the ground. This not only gives you a different perspective, but you will appear less intimidating. It's always amusing when pets get close to the lens to investigate, creating a great photo opportunity.
3. Take the time to learn about your pet's personality and unique ways. By knowing more about them, you will have more fun and it will be easier to photograph them.
4. Try switching out lenses, using different shutter speeds, or different aperture settings. A wide-angle lens lets you fit more pet into your picture, a macro lens lets you get closer, a fast shutter speeds catches your pet in motion, and a smaller aperture creates a blurred background.
5. Remember to be patient. At first your pet may be uncomfortable, but as the photo shoot progresses, they will be less shy of the camera. You want to make sure that your pet is not uncomfortable or anxious; if you are calm, they will be calm.
6. Be prepared for the unexpected. Because pets are unpredictable, you never know when a good opportunity for a photo will present itself. Keep them happy by photographing them enjoying a treat, playing with their favorite toy, or having fun in the park.
Remember to have fun! You will be able to display your pets looking like rock stars in no time. You can always look online or in magazine for additional ideas.
