We are all well aware of the functions of fire extinguishers. But do we know that there are special types of fire extinguishers that have the same purpose? Alright, I know what you are thinking. There are two special types of fire extinguishers that we are going to explore. They are automatic fire extinguishers and designer chrome style fire extinguishers.
Let us start with automatic fire extinguishers. When compared to manual fire extinguishers, automatic fire extinguishers or auto fire extinguishers are cost-effective. Like its names suggests, it does not require you to pull a pin before it can extinguish the fire, it is automatic. Auto fire extinguishers have a heat-sensitive bulb fitted in it. When the area temperature exceeds the set temperature, the bulb cracks and releases the expellant. Thus, it is able to extinguish the fire.
There are two main types of auto fire extinguishers - powder and gas. The powder auto fire extinguisher is more cost-effective when compared to a gas fire extinguisher. Moreover, it can extinguish a big fire break-out. However, the one disadvantage of this powder fire extinguisher is that it leaves a residue after use. On the other hand, gas fire extinguishers do not leave any residue after use.
The next special fire extinguisher is a designer chrome style fire extinguisher. Designer chrome style fire extinguishers serves the same purpose as your normal fire extinguisher. Then, what makes it special? It is its design and physical appeal. In order to fight fire, a fire extinguisher is required to be present in your organisation. But, when you run aesthetically appealing businesses like spas and hotels, it is important to ensure that even your fire safety equipment flows with the style. That is exactly what the designer chrome style fire extinguisher is all about.
However, like the name suggests, it is not exactly made of chrome. It is made from high grade stainless steel and refined to a chrome-like surface. Hiding the designer chrome style fire extinguisher in a normal stand certainly does not do any justice to it.
