Teleconferences are very important to a whole lot of people because they bring so much to the table for many purposes. In the beginning, though, teleconferences were used for casual purposes when two or more people would engage in the concept of the "three-way call." However, as times have changed so have the methods and purposes that people have used teleconference meetings for. There are many reasons to use teleconference meetings in your daily life and a couple of the more important reasons for using them will be explained in more detail here.

One of the biggest benefits of using teleconferencing is how quickly you can get information out to your employees no matter where they are. If you have multiple offices, or even independent contractors you can get them the information via audio or video teleconference training.

More and more employers are using video conference training, not only to train current employees, but to provide orientation for new employees as well. As an employer there are two ways you can use video teleconference training. You can create a video presentation explaining the basics of the topic and let new employees watch and learn while you take care of other things. You can also set up a live video teleconference training. This is interactive, where people can ask questions and really understand new policies or collaborate on a new project.

Many employers are now finding it is cheaper to hire "virtual staff". This means they don't have the expense of in house employees, but they do have to manage people all over the country even the world. Video conference training is perfect for this. No matter where your virtual employees are, if they have an internet connection they can log in to the video conference where you can share new information, directions or even have them collaborate on a new project all at once.

You can even take this a step further and use a video teleconference to interview possible employees. In a video teleconference you can see and hear the person, there is interaction which makes it much like a real interview situation. This interactivity gives both the employee and employer a chance to get to know one another and see if they are a good fit for the available position.
