The Mystique Of An Amy Winehouse Album
The interest to millions of fans that an Amy Winehouse album brings is uncanny. Amy Winehouse is a well-known pop English singer born in 1983. Her music identity is very unique offering various forms of music styles from soul to rock n roll. Her creative music and style has drawn a strong fan base around the world.
Her first album that hit the streets was debuted in 2003. It was entitled Frank which had good success worldwide. Not only did she gain fans but she also gained the praises of some of her critics. She was nominated for the Mercury Prize which is a very honorable award in her home country of Britain. Frank was a 13 track album which sold platinum.
She produced another Amy Winehouse album which was her second album entitled Back to Black in 2006. Of course as we all know her second album achieved greater success. It sold more units around the world than any other album during the first half of 2008 by selling 3.67 million copies. As September of 2008 approached she had sold more than 11 million copies. Back to Black accomplished six Grammy Award nominations and won five actual Grammys allowing Winehouse to become the first music artist from the UK to win five Grammys. Back to Black was an 11 track album where she experimented with many different styles and sounds of music genre.
Another one of Amy Winehouses music accomplishments is she was nominated for Best British Female Artist in 2007. Also in that year she was nominated with the Best British Album. Previously before winning those awards she won the Ivo Novello Award in 2004 for Best Contemporary Song for song titles Stronger than Me, in 2007 Rehab, and Love is a Losing Game!
It has been 3 years since an Amy Winehouse album has been released and her fans are eagerly anticipating her next album release. Her 3rd album was reportedly scheduled for 2008 but due to personal issues it has yet to be released or even completed. Everyone believes her 3rd album will definitely be her best Amy Winehouse album yet. Amy Winehouses record company Universal Studios is working hard to help Winehouse release her follow up and long awaited album. For all of her fans hope that she can win over her personal battles to produce another solid album.
