The Prison Break Finale is Close
When Prison Break first launched onto our screens it took the world by storm, the storyline behind it all was around two brothers; one has been sentenced to death for a crime he did not commit, and the other, a genius, devises an elaborate plan to help his brother escape prison.
The show was full of suspense and built up one of the biggest fan bases that a show has ever seen. But for the format of the show there was only so much that you could really do with it. The producers indicated that Season 4 would be the last one that they produce and air, although it is sad to see such a great show disappear, it is in some ways good that they have not dragged it out further and further.
Season one involved the break out of Prison, Season two then followed then on the run and it was in fact still watched by the millions. But everyone expected it to finish there and I think this is what made them lose a lot of followers, because at the end of Season two we saw Michael who broke his brother out of the first prison, get sent back in to try to once again break out. The story started to get a bit repetitive and when Season 4 aired the show had literally lost millions of viewers.
The programme took a mid season break and restarted in April 2009 for its final run, but it was brought to a new timeslot on a Friday, the slot that most people refer to as the slot that kills programmes.
I personally am an avid fan of prison break and we are now moving into the final week of a show that we have known for three years, I definitely feel that the production need to advertise it well so that people can get a bit of satisfaction of what comes out of a hopefully good ending.
But will the ending be good? We are all looking for a happy ending but things do not seem to be going that way as the episode before the finale shows Michael having to choose between Sara and Lincoln, we also see Lincoln get shot by what he believes is his mother. So what could the ending hold, will they all be saved? Or will it be an unhappy ending that leaves people wondering, what was the point? Let's all wait and see I am sure that it will be great.
