Is Your Website Perfectly Built? Think Again...
The internet has opened up millions of opportunities for website owners to carve up a niche and a reputation for themselves. Unfortunately many individuals assume that once a site is created, thousands possibly millions will rush to it.
A great deal of adjustments has to be done beforehand, before the massive amounts of traffic can be driven. Typing any popular phrase in Google, and you can be rest assured that the top positions did not get there by chance, but by a good keyword research and their marketing strategy.
One of the least mentioned and advertised part of SEO(Search Engine Optimization) is not so much getting a link on as many different pages as possible, but the keyword associated with the link, and the relevance that keyword has to the domain, url, or website it is being linked to.
Most of online marketers and companies focus on the url, website or domain, and aim to ensure that the keywords associated with the url, as well as the description and title of the url are all relevant for an effective SEO campaign. That is right, there is nothing wrong with trying to ensure every aspect of a site's SEO campaign is relevant, to the domain, title, keywords and descriptions, but enough attention equally needs to be paid to the text description associated with the link, url, or website.
To be most efficient and productive in the development process is to have one or two freelance generalists who see the big pictures, and a group of specialists who can develop flawless work. This structure will lead to a very successful and results-driven development firm.
One of the ways of determining if a SEO service can do what they claim, simply showing them the site in question, and asking for an initial consultation, with queries such as What is wrong with it as the site is now? Should there be more keywords? What type of keywords should be used for that particular niche? What type of link exchange sites are suitably to do business with, should reveal enough for any internet, and SEO layman to see if it is worth pursuing that particular SEO service.
Here are some do's and don'ts:
*Make sure each page in your website has something valuable to offer. *Don't distract your visitors with blinking or scrolling text, animated GIFs, or auto-loading sound. *Don't annoy your visitors with pop-up windows. *Think about what content you have and how it should be organized. *Include a way to get back to the home page, on every page. *Include a menu on every page.
A website owner should think about his visitors making sure that all the content in front of them is simple to use and SEO friendly.
