Produce Solar And Wind Power Electricity For Your Home
In looking at alternative energy sources to produce the energy this world needs, a lot of people think that nuclear power is the way to go. However, according to the Institute Of Technology Of Massachusetts it would take 1000 or more new reactors across the earth to make any noticeable reduction in pollution at all.
Nuclear power presently produces only 16 percent of the electricity in the world, and when you consider that electricity is all it produces, then you have to conclude we need to look else where in our fight against the pollution and global warming that goes with it. Also, electricity only accounts for a third of the polluting green house gases that are harming our planet.
Besides, nuclear technology that produces energy has a bi-product that can be used and is sought out by many terrorist factions as a means to make bombs. We do not really need more of that in our effort to become a more peaceful green planet and peoples.
So what can people do? Well lets take a look at solar and wind power as a clean, pollution free way of creating out energy. If you are looking for a way to power homes, on the cheap, that is free, abundant, that people can actually build their selves, then solar power and wind power are definitely an option.
Solar and wind power as a cost saving technology can help the local economies as well, and what ever excess electricity that is generated can be net metered and sold back to the power companies. The goal would be, to remove the need for the type of power companies we presently have to deal with.
Clean sources of energy would also help prevent and remove another expensive cost of pollution we now in cure such as cancer and other diseases.. Yes the medical costs that go with the diseases could be drastically reduced if not eliminated if we could do away with the harmful fossil fuels we are now burning for energy.
Fossil fuels have a tremendous negative environmental impact on our planet. It is time we start to break away from their use and go forward with renewable energy that is free, clean and abundant.
Solar and wind power can be used to this end at the home owners level. Also huge solar and wind power generating plants that produce and store electricity are definately a possibility as well.electricity.
Much can be done in the avenue of research and development that took a way down the list priority, and was actually cut under President George W. Bush's administration. It is looking like, that under our new forward thinking President Obama, that this will change for the better.
More research to discover better ways to harness the wind and solar power possibilities is on the way. Not only that, but other types of energy that are abundant and clean are being looked at as well.
For example, how about harnessing the magnetic forces that exist between the north and south pole? What you never played with magnets as a child and saw the way you could push one magnet with another with out even touching them? Yes that type of energy is a possibility, and maybe one day every home will have this type of generator to provide it's energy.
One thing's for sure, that the use of fossil fuels will continue to have a negative impact on our planet and that it will only get worse. Right now their is ample technology available where the individual homeowners can have installed on their homes, wind and solar power generating equipment to produce their own electricity.
These forms of wind generators, solar panels and storage can even be self built from parts from local stores. So lets seriously take a look at solar and wind power and start to break away from the electric and power grids. Lets start to clean up this world of ours. It is the only world we have.
