Pulse Smartpen High-Tech Pen For Students

By Mike M

In the office, I'm always asked to do the minutes in our meetings. My boss is really the demanding type who's into details. I miss one detail, and I get a litany of errors. I tried the tape recorder once but everyone's uptight about it, made them feel uncomfortable. I looked like a reporter or someone who interrogates witnesses.

So I had enough of it. I felt unappreciated and blamed for trivial matters. Unlike other guys who sulk because of being bullied by female bosses, I'm not one to feel sorry for myself. Sometimes I do, but I don't dwell on it like that guy in the movie "Wanted".

One time I was chatting with my college buddy who's still a student. He told me one of his classmates uses a computer-like pen that's digital with a built-in recorder, even shares notes online. I couldn't believe it like, is that even possible? Sure I got my palm pilot, like a computer on-the-go, but a pen? I don't think so.

He couldn't get the whole name right so he told me to google "smart pen", and so I did. I read about it and watched the demo and finally I ordered one at eBay. 'cause that's where I got most of my stuff. Come meeting time and I was up and about ready to flaunt my gadget, and that I did. I started taking notes, circling the keywords and recording the whole meeting. The audio quality is excellent; the state-of-the-art concept is still unbelievable.

Thanks to Livescribe, I don't get yelled at anymore. I'm now "Minute Man" in the office and I was thinking my student life would've been easier if the Smart Pen was invented that time.
