5 Reasons Why It Pays to Create Squeeze Pages

By Jackie Lee
Jun 3, 2009
A lot of people get into affiliate marketing because it is supposed to be really easy, you dont need your own website, you can just direct your link straight to the sales page. Right?

Well sure, you can do that.

But heres the deal ~ its something like 90% of people who wont buy the first time they see a sales page. Well, thats still 10% of people who will buy when they get to the page right?

It is a start.

However, you see that opt in form on the sales page? The product owner is going to get them to sign up on his list so he can talk to your referral over and over again ~ and probably after 7 or 9 times hearing from the product owner and hearing about the product, hell probably buy.

But you wont get credit for it. The product owner will get not only his part, but your commission too, because the person bought from their list.

You can send people right to the sales page with your affiliate link, but you will not make anywhere near as much as you would if YOU were building the list.

This is why YOU need a squeeze page. You want to send people to your opt in page first! Get them on YOUR list. Then send them on to the sales page. If they buy, great. If they dont, thats fine too. Because now YOU can send them information over time, and let them know the benefits of the product over time. You have a much greater likelihood that the people that didnt buy the first time they saw it will buy from you because they will hear from you 7 to 9 more times about the product. They will know your name, you will have built trust between you, and all of these things make it much easier to pull out your credit card and buy.

Let's review why you need an opt in page once more.

1. Capture name and email so you can continue to connect with the person 2. You dont just lose people if they dont buy the first time 3. You get to continue to build a relationship with the person 4. You get to continue to build trust with the person 5. You can even offer OTHER products and services that are related.

I hope you now understand why it's so important for you to create your own opt in page and start building a list. No matter what or how many niches you're involved in this system works.
