You need to focus on building your list to gain success. The more opt-in subscribers you have in your list, the more sales you will make - if you use your list appropriately.

Do you know how to effectively focus on building your list to add to the success of your online business? Many online business owners agree that the best asset they have for their business is their list, and they keep a back up on disc in case anything should ever happen.

Of course, how many sales you make from your list does depend on how you use your list, what you send your list, and so on.

Here are 3 ways you can focus on building your list to achieve more success for your online business:

1. Offer Something for Free: Get more and more people to subscribe to your list by offering them something for free when they subscribe. You gain their attention by offering them something for free if they should subscribe.

If you offer them a PDF booklet for free be sure to include information so helpful that your subscribers will want to print it out so they always have it. You have already slightly gained their trust by giving them something for free. Take it to the next level and earn more trust be offering something useful, helpful, inspirational, and/or resourceful.

2. Make it Easy: Always make it incredibly easy for people to subscribe to your list. If people have to fill in their name, address, phone number, and more they will probably not subscribe.

Ask only for their email, and if you have to, their first name only. This makes your subscribers feel more secure and safe by subscribing to your list. If you ask for too much information, you will lose a lot of would be subscribers because they do not feel safe.

3. Keep Promoting Your List: Add the way to subscribe to your list to every page of your website. Visit various ezine databases and sign up your list so people can find it there and subscribe.

Keep your website address in your email signature, forum signature, business cards, and promote your list on all of those! Write article related to your online business (or have a ghostwriter write them) and submit them to various article databases. These articles need to have your website address and promote your list as well.

By following the steps above you will see your list increase in as little as a week or less. Keep promoting your list.

You might want to set aside a half hour or more per day (or a few hours a week) that is focused only on building your list. The more subscribers you have on your list, the more sales you will make. Get those numbers up and value your subscribers!
