Define Those Muscles
Define The Bulk in Proportion
If you want a great body then don't be tempted to just go for size, muscle definition is a far better look, separate rather than build bulk.
Whether you are man or woman a strong muscular body looks great, but you don't have to have great big bulging muscles to achieve it. The best looking bodies are those that have muscle definition not bulk and size.
It's different of course if you want to compete as a Body Builder as you are going to need size as well as definition. Unfortunately these days you have got to think big, very big muscles if you want to win any competitions. Body Building is a great sport but the average keep fitter does not have to compete with these athletes.
So as I was saying the temptation seems to be to put on weight, bulking up is the term. I think this is probably more so the guys rather than the girls. Then it seems that they go hell for leather on the arms and chest. Plenty of bench pressing and bicep work.
So it is mainly the men that get it a bit wrong because they concentrate on two groups of muscle instead of the body as a whole you can get that undesirable look, which is a normal torso without any definition with big over developed pectorials and huge biceps all standing on to very thin not worked out at all legs. Not a look the women really search for is it.
Now if you are not a competing Bodybuilder then do we really need all that size. Surely it has got to be better and more comfortable to go for better developed muscle in respect of definition rather than size. Think about what will happen in years to come when your training days are slowed down or come to a stop, what do you think will happen to that big puffed out chest when it isn't kept rock solid with hard training.
The effort needed to put into creating size is far more than fine tuning the size that you already have and apart from it actually looking more natural, it just looks better period. The other point to make is that you probably won't have to change your whole wardrobe because your overall size is roughly the same just more toned. If you like size though then don't listen to me it's only my view.
If you want the lean ripped body then you don't need those real heavy weights with low reps, instead you can go for lighter weights and more reps and really burn the fat away from those muscles. But ultimately the choice is yours to go for lean muscle definition or big muscle bulk, either way enjoy your training.
