How Long Should It Take To Cure A Yeast Infection

A yeast infection will take a different amount of time to cure for every sufferer. The people that usually want to know how long fungal overgrowth should take to clear are the sufferers that are having difficulty in curing their infection. The problem is, they don't know why they are infected, so they can't treat their infection from the root cause.

The start of a fungal infection is the yeast that lives in your body naturally. Something in your body triggers the yeast to mutate into an aggressive fungus, and that's when you start suffering from your symptoms. The itching in and around your vagina is one of them, and this is caused by the fungus feeding on your skin cells.

Your body is now allowing the yeast to mutate so you have to find out why. If you keep using the same anti fungal drugs in an attempt to cure your infection then you're just going to make the infection drug resistant. To cure your infection you must find out why the Candida yeast is mutating, and then treat the infection from there.

Your body has natural defenses that have been compromised to allow the Candida to mutate. One of these is your colony of friendly bacteria in your intestines. These friendly bacteria keep the yeast under control so it doesn't mutate. When your numbers of friendly bacteria are low the yeast grows in numbers, and then it's strong enough to mutate into an infection causing fungus.

If you eat a diet that is high in sugar and simple carbohydrates then you're continually feeding the fungus. While you're doing this you'll never eliminate it from your body, and you could end up infected for a very long time. You must stop doing anything that is feeding the fungus, or anything that is creating an environment in your body that the fungus loves if you want to cure yourself.

If you have an underlying illness such as diabetes then this could be the cause of your infection. This is why it's so important to see your doctor if you have trouble curing a yeast infection. If you are suffering from diabetes your doctor can try a different medication that will keep your blood glucose levels under control so you stop feeding the fungus.

You'll be able to cure your infection when you discover the reason why the yeast is mutating in your body. The fungus that is feeding on the skin cells in your vagina will slowly destroy your health from the inside if you allow it to.
