Is She Faking It?
Is the woman in your life making it or faking it? Slide your other half's orgasmic antics under the microscope with this quick-fire scientific test of her performance.
1. Take a look at Her Chest. It's:
A) Mottled with a sort of red, blotchy rash B) Normal, apart from a sweaty sheen C) Plump, cool, the perfect place to rest a drink
Answer A
Just before she orgasms, her body goes through a process called vasocongestion, where the blood rushes to the chest and genitals. For 50 to 70 percent of women this results in a rash-like flush across the chest, something a faking woman can't reproduce. If you're still not sure if she's being genuine, stroke her clitoris. Just before orgasm it will decrease in size by 50 percent.
2. She says She's Reaching her Peak, but what does it Feel Like for You?
A) Warm, wet, slippery B) There's a need for a dab more lube C) Tight, encouraging you to thrust harder
Answer C
During orgasm her pelvic floor muscles contract to release blood that becomes trapped in the genitals during arousal. These contractions are almost impossible to fake, so they're as sure a sign as you can get that she is really having an orgasm. There should also be increased muscular tension, which you'll feel, and so you'll have to thrust harder to get deeper penetration.
3. She's at her Peak. What Kind of Noise is she Making?
A) Spouting filth like a porn star B) Moaning gibberish, like some kind of Ewok C) None at all. She seems almost meditative
Answer B
If you can understand everything that she's saying, she's putting on an act. During orgasm, the part of the brain that's responsible for thought and emotion shuts down, allowing her to feel total pleasure - which, on the other hand, means that she's unlikely to be able to string together a coherent sentence.
4. Take her Hand and Look into her Eyes. She is:
A) Wide-eyed and sweaty palmed B) Unable to make eye contact C) Confused as to what you are trying to do
Answer A
An orgasm has the same effect on the body as being chased by a lion - and you can tell if she faked it just by looking into her eyes. Her sympathetic nervous system will be activated so she'll be wide-eyed (her pupils will have dilated), with sweaty hands and feet, and her pulse will be racing. If she has actually just been chased by a lion, give her a moment before you start working your best moves.
5. You're Basking in your Post-Orgasmic Glow - and your Good Lady is...
A) Lively, chatty and putting on her clothes B) Rubbing her stomach C) Relaxed and wanting to cuddle
Answer C
If she has the energy to pull on her clothes 20 seconds after orgasm, it's likely she just put in an Oscar-winning performance. A cocktail of prolactin, oxytocin and endorphins is released during sex, which, when combined with the physical exhaustion may well want to make her cuddle or roll over and go to sleep. If she rubs her stomach, chances are she's still good to go.
