If both of you work in airlines, you can consider decorating the reception hall in a way that it look like the airport. This will make your event interesting.
Your own lifestyle and personality is another issue you need to think about. You have to make sure that the theme will be matching your personality. If you are the kind of person who loves something relatively informal, you should never go for a formal theme. This is because the theme does not match your personality. There is no point for you to do so at the end of the day!
