Five Printing Projects to Share with Your Kids
When raising a child (or more than one), it is important that you are able to spend time with them, doing creative and fun activities. There are a lot of projects that you can share with your kids that utilize your printer and ink cartridges. Here are five activities to think about the next time you want to do some arts and crafts!
1. Make Playing Cards Kids love having your toys and things customized. By using your inkjet printer, you can design your own unique playing cards to use when playing with your child. With the help of your child, choose some playing card images from the Internet. Then, using hard stock paper, print and cut them out. Then enjoy your favorite card game together-or come up with your own game!
2. Make Stickers All you need to make colorful and individualized stickers for your children is a printer, ink, and label sheets. With the help of your kids, find some of your favorite images on the Internet. You can also use digital photographs that you have saved on your computer. Then print them out on the label sheets and have fun sticking them everywhere.
3. Make Origami Sheets There are many websites online that provide you with printable origami sheets. This is a fun way to challenge both you and your kids. All you have to do is use some colorful paper and print the sheets out. You will probably also want to print out the instructions for folding the origami sheet. And then have fun creating origami creatures.
4. Make a Mask Using a "draw" or "picture" software, design a mask with your child's input and help. Simply draw a mask outline in the software and then let your child choose which designs, photographs, or pictures he or she wants to fill in the mask. Once it is completed, print it out and add a string.
5. Make Paper Dolls This is another way to utilize your printer and ink with the help of a draw or picture software. First, draw a very simple outline of a person or animal, and then have your kids participate by filling in the features of the paper doll. You can even create clothing and accessories for the dolls. Then print them out and have fun cutting them out and dressing them up!
These five arts and crafts projects are simply and help to get your children comfortable with technology as well as utilizing their creativity.
