DVD authoring is the process of creating a video that can then be played on a player; due to technology it is now possible to make disc's of your own digital video film at home. You can now make professional looking discs, whether it's for personal use or because you wish to catch the eye of distributors. To create a great disc there are numerous things you can do to that may not seem obvious with the software you have purchased.

You can even try placing a small piece of video footage if you feel very confident with your DVD authoring. If you have used a video clip on your disc menu then another sequential clip for a transition looks good.
One way that many people try to make their disc's more exciting is with a video clip that is placed on the button that plays the film. To do this most software offers a template with buttons that you can place specific clips on. You can also create this process without a template but you need to make sure that the position and style of your button coincides with the whole visual continuity of your film.
