Article Marketing - Five Reasons to Use Article Marketing in Online Business
Article marketing isn't just about publicity anymore, and it's not just for network marketers or affiliate marketers either. It's about traffic generation, positioning, and building relationships, and it is available for everyone's use. Article marketing, like websites, have become more a necessity than an option.
The first thing that article marketing does for you is give you publicity, or make potential clients aware of your product or service offering. Your company gets exposure on the article directory or other medium where you publish your article, but you don't have to stop there. Allow others to syndicate your articles and publish them in their own media venues. Add an RSS feed to allow anyone to quickly and easily add your content, and your company, to their website. This is how new companies become household names in today's internet world.
The next thing that happens is a direct result of the publicity you have received. As people become aware of your presence, they are also flooded with informative content from you that proves you know what you're talking about. This helps to establish you and your company as experts. Your articles may even be quoted when others look for answers or solutions. This is the first step to sales conversion - trust.

If you have done your job well, your articles will read as an informative piece with your website inserted in the content (or in the bio or author resource box for article directories) as an additional resource for further information. Therefore, as people continue to forward your articles around the net, people will visit your website, boosting traffic.
This also boosts your page rank and your position in the search engines. Your Google, Yahoo, and Alexa page ranks are based one three main things. The first is the content and keywords on your site. The second is the amount of traffic, or popularity of your site. The third, and probably most important today, is the number of one way links going to your site from other websites. If you use your articles on your site as well, you will cover all three of these things with article marketing. Essentially, article marketing is going to boost your visibility in the search engines with no additional effort. Additionally, it won't cost you a dime.
All of this article marketing leads to building relationships which is the most important point. You're not just throwing ads out there and trying to sell people. You are actually providing them with information and solutions that they can actually use. Perhaps it does not solve their entire problem, and that is why they need your product or services. But the idea here is to allow potential clients or customers to see that you are more worried about solving their problem than you are about getting their money. This builds a relationship that is guaranteed to turn traffic into dollars.
