Secrets to Getting Used Exercise Equipment Really Cheap
If you are on a budget and want to find really cheap used exercise equipment, then there are several places you can look to do this. Most of the time the best chance of finding really cheap exercise equipment will be by finding individuals locally who just do not have a use for it anymore and are just trying to unload it.
Maybe someone is just doing a little spring cleaning to make more room in their house so they decide to get rid of bulky items that they do not have much use for.
Either way there are way to find these people and take this stuff off of their hands no problem. They are often eager to give it to anybody who is willing to offer a reasonable price for it. But you can still play hard ball a little just to make it more fun. Here are some tips to help you find really cheap used exercise equipment.
Look in the free section of the classifieds
Most classifieds, especially the online site Craigslist, usually has a free section that you can browse through to see if there is anything you like. There is often used exercise equipment for free to anyone who is willing to pick it up.
Offline classifieds can offer the same deals. The only down side is that you may not always find what you are looking for. But if it does not matter to you what kind of equipment you get because you are just happy to get it for free or next to nothing, then it won't matter to you.
Everybody wins. The owner gets to unload some stuff they do not want and you get quality exercise equipment.
Look Around for Rummage Sales In Your Area
Depending on where you live this will not be an option for you year long. But when the time is right you'll definitely want to go out and look for rummage sales in your area. You may not strike gold at first, but on a good summer day there is no shortage of yard sales going on especially Saturday's.
I can't tell you how often I am driving around and I see whole weight sets and treadmills all over the place. If I bought every used treadmill or elliptical I've seen at rummage sales I would have almost fifty treadmills and exercise bikes.
Plus you can usually talk the seller into giving it to you for much less than what they are asking. They're just happy to get rid of it and get it out of their house. So if you want to find some some good used exercise equipment, then consider making rummage sales one of your first options when looking.
There are a lot of other options for finding really cheap used exercise equipment. A lot of good deals can be found online where you will have even more choices as to the type of equipment you want. With this many options out there you'll have no excuse to not stay in shape.
In fact you will spend more on Starbucks coffee throughout the year then what you'll spend on some good used exercise equipment. So instead of a coffee, have a treadmill, hold the cream.
