Employee Service Awards to Recognize Loyal Employees
These are the employees that have stuck with you and your business through the hard times and through the successes. They outlasted the poor decisions and offered solutions that are still being used on a daily basis. They deserve to be recognized for the years that they have been loyal to the cause. You know it has not always been easy.
How will you do that? Do not just say that you appreciate what they have done. Give them a visible presentation of their recognition with an award that they will be proud to display. Whatever the medium, the message will be clear. Choose from crystal, optic crystal, marble or granite, art glass, or others. Then choose a theme for your award. Again, there are many choices such as traditional plaques, contemporary star shapes, art glass for that fine arts look, and theme-oriented awards that lend themselves to very individual awards.
These awards come in several sizes so you will be able to differentiate between levels of service. Creating awards will require that you plan ahead. It will take a certain amount of time in order to have them customized with employee information. This will reflect well on you and the employees will think it is great that you have gone the extra mile to recognize them as individuals. Send in the artwork and the messaging. Your logo should be black and white to accommodate the etching process. Be sure to review a proof of the layout for the award before giving the okay for production to begin. Allow plenty of time for production and shipping.
When your awards arrive at your office, you will be so pleased to see how your order was created, packaged, and shipped. Then, there is just one more decision and that is how to distribute them to the employees. Many businesses hold a special event to do that but whatever works for your company is the way to do it.
No matter what award you chose, what you had etched on it, or how you gave it to the employee, the important part, and the part that the employee will remember, is that you took the time and resources to single them out for praise. We all need that and when you supply recognition to your employees, you are investing in your future and that of your business. It is important and even more important in times of a slow economy. It just may be the boost your company needs.
