Spring Breakdown DVD is Available
The Spring Breakdown DVD is now available for fans of Amy Poehler and Rachel Dratch to add to their movie collection. It was released on June 2, 2009, and after a delay because of studio problems, it was finally released and is now available to own on Blu ray and on DVD format.
Here is the general storyline of Spring Breakdown: Three friends all seem to be having a rough time in life lately for different reasons. Judi has a fiance that turns out to be gay, Becky had a cat that she loved dearly that just died, and Gayle somehow manages to disgust a man who is blind. The women are more than ready to pamper themselves to make themselves feel better, and they decide that they need a vacation. It just so happens that at that point Beckys boss asks her to chaperone his daughter while she is on her spring break trip for college, which will be taking place on South Padre Island. The women realize that they get a chance for the vacation of their lives.
Spring Breakdown on DVD really gets entertaining when the parties and crazy nights happen while the women are on the Island. Judi and Gayle have less reservation about letting loose, but Becky is a little slower to warm up to the idea of partying. It doesnt take too long though before all three women are having a ball, reliving the spring break they never had! Rachel Dratch, Amy Poehler, and Parker Posey star in the heartwarming comedy as three women who are pushing 40 who are searching for an escape from their lives.
Spring Breakdown was actually made during 2006, but the films studio, Warner Independent, had its doors closed in light of the economy. Warner Bros. Studios made a few changes to streamline their operations in the recession, and closed the Independent studio and absorbed New Line Cinema. However, eventually the movie did finally make its way to the public and was premiered at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. The Sundance Film Festival is of course the biggest independent movie festival in the United States, and was started by actor Robert Redford 25 years ago.
The lesson learned by the women in the Spring Breakdown DVD is that sometimes it is better to stand out as they are themselves than it is to change to fit in, especially when they are among kids who are half their age. The Spring Breakdown DVD is available on many different websites online and at retail stores everywhere. It was not released in theaters but was released directly to video after Warner Bros. Studio closed the Independent Studio and absorbed New Line Cinema. Spring Breakdown DVD was first presented at the Sundance Film Festival, which was started by Robert Redford 25 years ago.
