3 Steps To Living Your Personal Theme

By Joanna Lindenbaum
Jun 25, 2009
I am wishing love, peace, happiness and passion to each and every person today. I have a real intuitive sense that big and exciting are coming up for 2009 and beyond, and I'm just thrilled to journey through them with you!

My personal theme (PT) for 2009 is, joy and enjoy. When I thought back to what could have made 2008 even better, I realized that I would have wanted to amp up taking pleasure in life.

A lot of exciting things happened in my life this year - everything from moving to having a baby to my husband completely changing careers. All wonderful things, yet sometimes I got caught up in the challenges of it all instead of moving through it with ease and joy.

So...my theme for my year - what I really want to be and feel in my life in 2009 - is Joy!

I'm so excited to share this process with you! I've developed a unique method to help you create your own personal guide of instructions and inspiration for 2009 and each year there after, all based on what's most important to you!

I'll help you take your theme to the next level by giving you the tools to help you really live your theme. I'm a so excited to share this process with you! We'll create the first steps to a powerful guide and structure for your new year that will invigorate you and be easy to actually keep

Step 1: Create a PT Power Page - Now that you've got your theme for the new year write it down in the middle of a fresh, clean piece of paper. Feel free to use crayons or colored markers. That's right - let's really tap into our creativity here to manifest awesome energy for the New Year. I call this paper your Personal Theme Power Page.(PTPP)

Step 2: Uncover Mini-Actions to Your Theme - Once you've written it down, take a few minutes to write down all the things - big and small - that you can do in your life to foster and manifest this theme.

Think about all areas of your life as you make his list: work, health, relationships, connections to self, finances, etc. Write these mini-action steps all over your PTPP in any way you like.

For example, my theme for the New Year is Joy and Enjoyment. Some of the mini-action steps on my Personal Theme Power Page are:

- Get a massage
- Giggle with my baby daughter, Penina (instead of wonder what new messages popped up in my email account)
- Do yoga (because it really gives me joy!)
- Laugh at my most current mistake
- Spend time in nature
- Get excited about the yummy meals I'm going to cook as I wait on line at the supermarket
- Listen to music that makes me happy as I do administrative work for my coaching business (I'm doing that right now!)
- Give thanks for the miracle of a healthy and happy daughter as she wakes me for feedings in the middle of the night
- Relish the moments I get to spend helping and supporting my clients
- Sing show tunes when I find myself stuck in traffic (I admit it - I just love showtunes!)

Whatever your personal theme is, take some time to come up with at least 12 - 20 mini-action steps and write them all over your Personal Theme Power page.

These mini-actions steps are the building blocks of your upcoming year.

Step 3: Live Your Personal Theme! Now that you are clear on your theme and you've uncovered essential steps to creating the feeling of that theme in your life, it's time to take action and live it!

My invitation to you is to pick one mini-action step from your PTPP each day and simply do it! Once you see that you are following through on one action step a day, then pick two that you want to do each morning.

You'll see that with each week you'll be doing more and more things to live your theme, and it will soon become intuitive and second nature to simply create this feeling in your life!
