How To Prospect In MLM And Get Great Results
To successfully recruite in MLM there's one thing I believe doesn't work at all. Explaining your compensation plan or product so well that prospects leap up saying they want to join with you. The sad thing is this is what many new distributors are taught to do.
Don't get me wrong it is important to know how to explain how your compensation plan and products work. However it is not the way to prospect in MLM with success. Your aim is to impress upon your prospect how the opportunity you are offering them can improve their quality of life and leave them with a feeling that they can do this.
To do this successfully you must get really good at communicating, if you truly desire real results. And you must do it in as few words as possible with the greatest impact. If you are not getting results, there's a good chance you are talking about the wrong thing, talking for too long, and not hitting your prospects hot buttons that would trigger emotion.
It is not explanations, but emotions that get people to take action. All the top leaders in the network marketing industry are EXCELLENT at this. You must already have these skills or be prepared to learn them.
By far the easiest way to trigger emotions is to ask questions. Not the "wishy washy" surface questions. I mean the deep and meaningful ones that get you to the crux of the matter. Where your prospect will throw themselves at your feet and beg to join your team because they have seen it is really their only option if they want to achieve their life goals.
It takes time and lots of practice to become effective at asking the right question that trigger your prospects emotions. Do you practice or do you just "wing it" when you're with a prospect? It is no good for you or your prospect if you squander your opportunity by saying the wrong thing or talking to much!!
Think for a moment about your practices and your results. Are you getting the results you are looking for? If you are not can you see why you're not? Be honest - if you are not putting time into practicing getting really good at this, your results will reflect that.
The only way to get to the heart of why someone would want to do this business is to PRACTICE asking questions that trigger emotion. Focus on what your prospect is looking for and drill down until you can see they know they are in between a rock and a hard place. You need to learn how and where to move the conversation.
I suggest you take an honest look at how your current results match up with your current skill level and the amount of practice you do. How do you shape up? If you don't like what you see then go find a coach and a team that you can learn from.
