YouTube is the a great social networking platform and with its own built in search facility and community voting anything you put on YouTube has the potential to go viral in no time at all if you know what to do. So how do you maximize video marketing?
Keyword research is the first step. Use a tool like wordtracker or another keyword research tool to provide accurate and highly searched keyword information to plan your video around. Use the keywords in the title of your video submission, the description and the tags.
Content is what will make or break your video submission. Thats what its all about after all. If you're on a limited budget and can't afford to spend a fortune on production use a tool like windows movie maker, add some music to the intro and use the channels editing tools to add annotations and brand your site.
Once you have your content you then need to distribute it and tools like Traffic Geyser and Tube Mogul are great for adding punch to your submission strategy. Yes, they will cost something initially but the investment is worth it.
