Find Out What Everyone Is Talking About? Home Security Technology Is Limitless!
As a youth, I do not ever remember locking the doors of the house. Maybe it was the neighborhood I grew up in; maybe it was the mindset of a former generation. Regardless of the reasons, people now seem to be more reluctant to leave their homes open like they used to, and with adequate reason. These days people have more property to protect than ever before.
A few years back I came across an online offer that was promoting a free security system evaluation, and before I knew what happened I had a basic home security system installed. Although I had not recognized any vulnerability in my home that might entice a burglary, I immediately felt less susceptible to the evils of the world every time I walked in the door and heard that beep.
However, it was not until a recent visit to a friends home in Ketchum, Idaho that I came to understand just how far home security systems have advanced beyond the basic technology that protects my modest abode. Proud to be part of the elite circle of home owners who are protected by a security system, and intrigued by what I noticed to be a very advanced wireless home security system, I questioned my friend about the technology that kept a watchful eye over his property. All the while, I was acutely aware of the overhead home security camera that monitored my every move.
In the palm of his hand, my friend held a small activation remote that controlled the functions of the advanced wireless security system. I had never considered the fact that a burglar who was adept with electrical configurations could snip a few wires and disarm my home security system. I guess if someone wanted my analog TV and old laptop that badly they deserved it for being more ingenious than I am. But with the wireless home security system, that scenario was near impossible, and there was little chance an intruder could enter the fortress I stood in without triggering the system.
As we toured the inside and outside of the elaborate residence I noticed several more home security cameras that kept a watchful eye on every square inch of the property. There were ten cameras to be exact, and when we went back into the house my friend directed me to his computer where he logged on through a secure website and could view in real time the feed from every camera installed. Considering the simplicity of my own home security system, which in fact gets the same great monitoring services that his advanced system gets, I congratulated him on continually blowing my mind with the latest and greatest technology.
Although I do not currently have a need for such elaborate technology, it is remarkable to see how safe a home can be with a wireless security system and the assistance of home security cameras. Perhaps one day when I have possessions worthy of such a system I will call for another free security evaluation and upgrade to the best protection available.
