Where Hale Bob First Began
It was nine years ago, in 2000, when native Moroccan Daniel Bohbot visited Los Angeles for the first time. As someone who had many years experience in the fashion industry, he was immediately drawn to the styles seen on California celebrities. Bohbot was soon inspired to start his own line of clothing and incorporate these great looks.
Bohbot returned to Paris and in 2001 and, along with his brother Marc, decided to open Hale Bob and offer the unique fashions of L.A. to women everywhere. It wasn't long before Bohbot decided that his business needed to be located in the same place he'd received his inspiration. Later that year, he and his brother, the founder of Bisou Bisou, moved to California.
Hale Bob is a variation on the name of the famed comet. Bohbot chose this name to represent how his clothing would make women feel like they were stars. It was his inspiration for the sexy tops which would become Hale Bob's first offerings. Soon, other nightclub-style garments were added to the label.
