If you want to increase your body mass it is a must that you learn the principles which determine mass gain. If you do not understand this principles you will not succeed in your goal to gain body mass. That is why many people end up taking steroids in order to increase there body mass.

However I do not recommend the use of steroids in order to increase your body mass. When you use steroids you will suffer from the following side effects; shrinking of the testicles, growth of breasts, low sperm count, decrease in sex drive, impotence, baldness,: women on the other hand experience the following side effects, enlargement of the clitoris, growth of facial hair, there voice breaks and they start talking like men, irregularity in there menses, and baldness, enlargement of the heart, stiffening of the arteries, enlargement of the prostrate, liver conditions, acne, heart ailments , kidney problems and muscle tear, people become aggressive, suicidal, depressed and also suffer from severe cases of insomnia.

In order to increase your body mass you need to follow the following rules;

1. Eat meat

The best protein for a bodybuilder is meat when it comes to increasing your body mass. Proteins are the building blocks of muscles and therefore you need to take plenty of it in your diet. Red meat is a very good source of muscle building nutrient, which also helps you to increase your body strength.

2. Avoid counting exercises

There is nothing like an optimum number of exercises. Therefore when you are training you should only stop when you think that your body has become completely frustrated. There do not restrain yourself to a particular number of sets during a particular exercise.

3. Perform optimum sets

When it comes to increasing your body mass you need to perform optimal sets. For the training to be optimal you should perform around 16-20 sets which should target the different body parts.

4. Avoid injuries

For you to increase your body mass you are required to lift very heavy loads. When you are performing squat and flat bench exercises using heavy loads it is very easy to get injuries. In fact the reason why many bodybuilders have had a short bodybuilding career is due to injuries as a result of torn pecs, strained erectors and slipped discs. With proper execution and knowledge you can be able to get fast muscle development without risking getting injuries.

5. Perform several trial and errors in order to determine which mass building exercise works for you.

People have different body compositions and therefore you need to be careful when selecting the training regimen to use in order to increase your body mass. There is some mass building routines which may work for you while there are others which might not work for you.

6. Train intensely

If you are not ready to train intensely, then you will not be able to increase your muscle mass. You need to train hard because as the saying goes no pain no gain. Through intense training you will be able to drive your muscles to reach muscle fatigue and therefore you will experience muscle hypertrophy.
