Bryan Adams Tickets - Top Five Songs about Bryan's Love and Sacrifice

By Brent Warnken

There are plenty of popular music artists these days who sing confidently and selfishly about romance. With songs like "Single Ladies" by Beyonce and "Since You Been Gone" by Kelly Clarkson dominating the lyrical landscape, it seems that nobody's wanting or willing to sacrifice anymore. If love doesn't come easy, then it really wasn't worth it. Well, not for Bryan Adams. If you purchase Bryan Adams tickets online, you'll hear an artist who knows how to suffer for love. In fact, Bryan Adams probably enjoys the pain more than the love itself. Here are the top five Bryan Adams songs about what he'll sacrifice for love.

5. "I'll Always Be Right There"

It was hard narrowing down this list to just five songs about Bryan Adams suffering at the hands of his forlorn lover ("Heaven" and "Cuts Like A Knife" were almost added to the countdown). But "I'll Always Be Right There" got the last spot on this top five list because it seems to encapsulate a common motif in the Bryan Adams love-sacrifice genre, that is, doing anything. As Bryan puts it, "I swear to you/ I will always be there for you/ there'snothin' I won't do." As you will come to see, Bryan really stresses his willingness do-anything.

4. "Please Forgive Me"

Bryan Adams sometimes gets so caught up in being hurt and affected by his lovers' mistreatment that he forgets that he's Bryan Adams, a romance cyborg sent from the future to love unconditionally- emphasis on the unconditionally. In "Please Forgive Me" Adams is asking for forgiveness, not for some transgression on his part, oh no. He wants to be forgiven for failing to stop loving as hard as he does. Croons Bryan, "Please forgive me - I can't stop loving you/ Don't deny me - this pain I'm going through."

3. "(Everything I Do) I Do It For You"

Just as in "I'll Always Be Right There" Bryan Adams continues to explain to his lovers that he is capable of doing anything and everything- even dying- for them. Bryan sings, "Don't tell me it's not worth trying for/ You can't tell me it's not worth dying for/ You know it's true/ Everything I do, I do it for you." Most people would go through with "trying" but stop short of "dying." Not Bryan Adams: "Take me as I am, take my life/ I would give it all, I would sacrifice." If you didn't think that Bryan was deadly serious about taking a bullet for his girlfriend, he continues later on in the song with these lines: "Yeah, I would fight for you, I'd lie for you/ Walk the wire for you, Yeah I'd die for you."

2. "I Will Be Right Here Waiting For You"

Even though there's nothing to tell us that Bryan Adams is insincere about anything he's singing, we're just not buying the death wish called for in "I Do It For You." "I Will Be Right Here Waiting For You" is much more plausible. The song promises, "Wherever you go, whatever you do/ I will be right here, waiting for you/ Whatever it takes, or how my heart breaks/ I will be right here waiting for you." He adds later in the verses, "Oceans apart, day after day/ And I slowly go insane/ I hear your voice, on the line/ But it doesn't stop the pain." Dying is taking it a little too far. Waiting and talking on the phone is less morbid and more romantic, don't you think?

1. "When You Love Someone"

Bryan Adams' best song about sacrificing for love is "When You Love Someone." While the other songs on this list are written as though Bryan Adams were penning a letter to one of his girlfriends (the subject is always "you"), this one is written like he's explaining life lessons to his son- that, or pleading his case to a state-appointed psychiatrist after another restraining order. Bryan sings "When you love someone - you'll do anything/ you'll do all the crazy things that you can't explain/ you'll shoot the moon - put out the sun/ when you love someone." He continues later with, "when you love someone - you'll sacrifice/ You'd give it everything you got and you won't think twice/ you'd risk it all - no matter what may come."
