How Can Your Business Benefit From Global Expansion And Dual Citizenship?

By Frank Muller
Jul 3, 2009
Do you really need dual citizenship in order to do business in another country? Some will say yes; while others will say no. What you really need to b concerned about when you are dealing with dual citizenship is the fact that you may wind up paying taxes to both countries (this means local, state/province and federal taxes). Is it really worth it? You decide.

Those that are dealing with business immigration for the sake of expanding your business and making the global economy a little better really need to discuss those matters with an attorney that is certified and able to handle business law.

You need to remember that you are probably going to need to pay local, state and federal taxes to both your primary and secondary country once you are granted dual citizenship.

Yet they find out about this the hard way when they are denied access to financial funding that they need or are detained by the authorities for failure to pay taxes in either country. While this situation is not the best in the world, you can avoid it by knowing what laws you need to obey where. Knowing what is expected of you will keep you from dealing with the pitfalls that dual citizenship often creates.

Are you looking to live in a secondary country and gain a second passport in order to expand your business into that country? This is part of what investment immigration is all about. Those doing business in a foreign country need to apply for citizenship if they are going to be there for a while.

Those that are looking to get a second passport that gives them the rights to travel into and out of the country that the I hold second citizenship in need to be well aware of what the requirements are in order to get that passport and also know what you are dealing with on every level when traveling back and forth.

You need to remember that dealing with immigration might not be the smoothest experience in the world if you hold two (or more) national passports. There are going to be times that you will need to jump through hoops in order to make things happen.

Dual citizenship carries more advantages than people realize, yet dual citizenship also entails much more financial and civic responsibility to those that you are working with.
