Bedroom Furniture - Your Perfect Sanctuary

By Kelly Kim
Jul 3, 2009
Your bedroom is said to be a representation of that place in the world, physical and spiritual, that only belongs to you. This is what makes it blessed and if it means anything, you'll always want a bedroom that you can rave about, respect, and, most importantly, release your soul into. In other words, you'll want your bedroom to be as relaxed as possible. However, it won't be so unless you give it attention because anything and everything you put in there will pressure you, whether you're starting the day or ending it.

Your bedroom furniture will, naturally, have the most impact on the look and feel of this part of your home. And in due course, the only measure of good and bad furniture is the amount of comfort that it brings you.

Aside from the individual contributions of those pieces, it's also exceedingly vital to give them space in between and around them if they are to be truly valued. Nobody wants a room that makes one feel oblivious to the world.

Definitely, you need to allow for a lot of space in there for both you and your furniture to breathe. Therefore, choosing what you buy should be both a matter of style and comfort, whether it's a single bedroom furniture dresser or an entire set you want. The point is to end up with the true sanctuary you've been hoping to make out of your bedroom.

Aside from space, you also want to be careful choosing the colors that you put in. If you're the melancholic type who is bitten by the blues ever so often, you'll do great avoiding colors that seem to encourage that emotion in you. Dark colors are particularly notorious for creating a sad or depressing atmosphere. While dark colors work to give offices a great, professional polish, you won't want them in your room where all you need is another good reason to wake up another day.

And if, from the moment you open your eyes in the morning, you're by now subdued by darkness, you'll almost certainly have a hard time getting over it. Sunny colors work the opposite and should give you all the reasons to start your day with a refreshed love for life every time.
