Choosing A Radio Controlled Model To Buy
I don't think there is a product online that doesn't have an equivalent competitor or type, and this is very evident when deciding what type of radio controlled model to pick.
With an abundance of hundreds, maybe even thousands of makes and models to choose from, it isn't all that easy.
Just opting for the straight forward radio controlled car brings a set of new choices in itself. You have to decide if you want an electric, petrol or nitro fuelled version...if of course you know the difference!
This applies to other radio controlled model types like trucks and buggies also. Therefore knowing what your budget can stretch too is key for any RC store to know so as they can inform you properly.
Don't forgot to include all the on-going fuel and maintenance costs too. This is often overlooked, so don't make that mistake and ensure you can afford to run the model every week.
Of course if you opt for something to fly then your costs could become even greater as the cheaper RC helicopter models for example, simply are not worth the money they cost.
More money on a better make of model though means that costs can sky rocket even further if you unfortunately crash land it onto a pylon or something. This is unlikely but losing control of a $200 model 100 feet up can hurt your pocket badly!
Radio controlled cars might not be your thing and you may fancy a little more power or brut force. If that is the case you really should consider an RC jet or a radio controlled tank. These machines are serious fun.
Its always good to get some advice before you part with your cash. So we would suggest you join a forum and look through the FAQ's and various threads offering support, opinions and advice.
There is no doubt that your final decision will be one that is designed through your process of elimination to bring you fun and enjoyment, so you can't go wrong.
