Enrolling Your Dog Into Doggy Day Care

By Carly Fitzgerald

It is a good idea for dog owners who are out much of the day at work is to enroll their dog in doggy daycare. Dogs that are left alone much of the day, become depressed and lonesome, and the dog will tend show these feelings by behaving badly. Doggy daycare is a great way to get your dog the exercise that it needs, and will relieve the feelings of boredom and desolation that are experienced by the dog when left alone for long periods.

Chewing on pillows, furniture, and ripping up the carpet are just a few of the things that dogs find themselves involved in when there is nothing else to do. The loneliness that a dog feels when it is left alone for eight or nine hours a day can be very depressing.

Dogs need to exercise, play, and socialize to maintain good health, however most dog owners are out working most of the day and find little opportunity to engage in these activities with their dogs. After a busy day, most people do not have the energy to go for a run or play in the park and have other things to attend to in their household, and so the dog may not get the activity that it requires.

A good solution to this issue for both the dog owner and the dog is enrolling your dog in a doggy daycare. Caring people who love dogs have opened such facilities in cities all over the country. When attending a doggy daycare, your dog will have the freedom to run around and play, get exercise, and interact with other dogs.

This is a good thing for the dog's emotional well being and also to make sure that your dog knows how to handle meeting new dogs in order to avoid fights. Not only does doggy day care help the dog get the exercise and the socialization that is needed to thrive, but the owner gets to feel good as well.

A doggy daycare is an ideal solution for both the dog owner and the dog. The guilty feelings associated with leaving the dog home alone all day while at work are gone. In addition, the doggy daycares are cost efficient, so it is affordable for many people to leave the dog at the doggy daycare everyday that they work.

Some people feel the price of sending their dog to a doggy daycare every workday is not within their budget, or they do not want their dog to get over excited, so they enroll the dog 2 or 3 days a week. This is fine, because the dog does not have to be in a doggy daycare every single day to have the benefits of the daycare. Try finding a schedule that will work well for both you and you dog.

Make your dog's day more exciting, and less lonesome by checking out a doggy daycare in your area. Check out a few for references and compare prices to find one that fits your needs and budget. Your dog will thank you for providing them with some socializing and fun.
