Another option is to use a free internet phone service like skype to have one on one lessons with a French teacher from the comfort of your home.
Watching French TV via satellite or DVD's is another way to learn to speak French fast. With DVD's you can mix and match the subtitles and audio to suit whatever skill you want to practice. For instance, English audio/French subtitles will help your reading, vocabulary and grammar. Swap this round and you can practice your comprehension and pronunciation. Have French audio/French subtitles and you can do even more.
Watching a movie is an easy way to learn because you can get involved in the action or plot and forget about the fact that you are actually learning something.
