Make Vista Boot Faster So You Can Get Home For Dinner

Windows Vista is one of the newer operating systems on the market. It's supposed to be the latest greatest but it's a little slow when it comes to booting up. There are a few tricks to make Vista boot faster. Let's take a look at them now.

First off you can disable startup services that you don't need when the system boots up. This can increase the speed at which your operating system will boot as there is less to load into memory and less work for the processor. Vista has a lot of processes you really don't need on boot up if you're just using it for normal everyday use. It has all these options enabled so people won't have to go looking for them.

However every time you go to change something Vista will bug you and double check. Regular maintenance is no longer required on the users part as the system does it itself. It monitors when people are not using it and schedules the work to be done then, these processes run automatically. Most computer enthusiast prefer to do this manually for the sake of doing it.

The next step is defragmentation. Defragmentation takes a look at all your files and moves them to be accessed faster. This can provide a boost to the system and decrease load times. Most people can't discern an improvement though, but most people aren't computers

After all the dirty work is done there is one final thing to do. Check for bugs in your system. No not cockroaches and spiders, although these bugs are just as bad. I'm talking spyware, malware, and viruses. Scanning for these regularly can keep the system clean and responsive.

There are many other ways to make Vista boot faster but it would take to long to go over them all. Suffice to say if you take care of your system and optimize it this should do the trick. Id you find out the problem may be hardware and not software then you might want to get a new computer. Tech support is available from most vendors to help you with this.
