Vaporizers - The Safer, Healthier Choice
It has been around for a while but is now only starting to gain more public attention. It is being regarded as the healthier and safer choice when it comes to inhaling herbal and tobacco products. This product is called the vaporizer, and if you have not yet heard of this device you will very, very soon.
So what is a vaporizer, you ask? Good question. The vaporizer is a device that, you guessed it, turns things into vapor. It is a small to medium sized machine that consists of a few parts. There is the upside down cone-shaped base that houses the electrical wiring and the atomizer, which is the heating element, and then there is the filling chamber where the herbs are placed into and the balloons, which are essentially plastic containers that expand when the vapor is dispersed into them.
The benefits of the vaporizer are many, and they have actually been used in the medical field for quite some time now. They have been used for medicinal marijuana, for patients who need marijuana to calm down or to help treat any pain or maladies they may be experiencing. The studies performed on marijuana have been astounding: when the marijuana is heated up and turned into a vapor, the harmful volatile compounds typically found in the smoke were either significantly reduced or eliminated altogether. Studies have also showed that the potency of the herb were amplified. Subjects were able to achieve effects with much less product than normal.
For chain smokers of tobacco cigarettes, there is hope in the vaporizer. Tobacco can also be filled in the chamber and vaporized. The vapor produced is more potent but less harmful. Studies conducted have shown that there were virtually no traces of tar and significantly lower levels of other chemicals. Heating the tobacco through the device rather than with a direct flame produces less carcinogens. Cigarette smoke is known to harbor hundreds of chemicals and some are notorious for causing cancer. When using the vaporizer with the tobacco plant, that eliminates the concern about secondhand smoke because the vapor is trapped inside plastic bags that can be sealed shut before any vapor is released.
Although it has been used for personal and medical reasons for quite some time, there is still a lot of research being conducted about the efficacy of the product. The majority of the research has shown dramatic positive results thus far, and people who use it for personal reasons for "vaping" or for cooking foods with have reported overall positive results.
