How To Earn Fast Cash Online Without Falling Prey To Fraudsters

By Nizam Shapie
Jul 30, 2009
Over the past few weeks I've won a BMW, a round-the-world luxury cruise and the Spanish lottery jackpot (twice). And, oh yes, before I forget, I've also had an offer of marriage from an African princess who also begged me for the privilege of depositing the Nigerian equivalent of 15 million pounds into my bank account. Wow - some guys have all the luck!

Before you start writing begging letters to me, I'd better come clean and explain I haven't really won anything. Neither will I be tying the knot with the princess, whose truck-load of Nigerian dollars does not exist. But you knew that, didn't you? Most of us receive these sort of emails. We bin them because it's obvious what they are - scams.

There are, however, far more subtle fraudsters operating on the Internet, and the newbie online marketer looking to earn fast cash provides a prime target for them. These vultures are also out to earn fast cash, circling over their victim as they wait for the right moment to swoop down for easy pickings. The problem facing the newbie online marketer is that these scammers can be ingenious in the ways they attempt to get their sticky little hands on their hard-earned cash.

They usually operate the long con. They don't just barge in shouting "Give me your money" like Bob Geldof at a Live Aid concert. The Internet hustlers inveigle their way into your life like a modern-day Uriah Heap, gaining your trust before they move in for the kill. Any fraud squad detective will tell you that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. It's become a cliche but I think it's worth repeating here for the benefit of newbie online marketers.

There's nothing wrong with setting up a legitimate business online and trying to earn fast cash from it. But while newbies are doing this, they need to be on their guard to ensure that Internet crooks don't earn fast cash from them. Internet hustlers will attempt to suck you in, blind you with science and baffle you with jargon. They may well offer you a load of free goodies at first in a bid to win you over. Most of these freebies will be worthless junk.

The number of decent, honest people trying to earn fast cash on the Internet far outnumbers the number of online fraudsters but you must always be aware that they are out there, just waiting for the chance to pounce.
